Citywide Water Meter Upgrade Project

• The city’s contractor, Baystate Winsupply, will be installing new water meters throughout the city Monday through

Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customers are notified via U.S. mail and asked to make appointmen­ts for meter replacemen­t through a website or over the phone.

Road Constructi­on

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Expect road closures, delays and detours:

• Constructi­on on Beech Street will continue.

• Installati­on of driveway aprons along Crawford Street from the Nashua River to the Leominster line will continue.

• Paving on Ashby West Road will continue.

Gas main work by Unitil/NEUCO, which may result in road closures and detours, will continue all week in the areas of:

• Electric Avenue from Old Deerfield Road to Woodworth Avenue

• Intersecti­on on Franklin Road at Clarendon Street

• Franklin Road from Shea to Depot street

• Pratt Road from Clar

endon to Beech street

• St. Andrews Street from Clarendon to Edward street

Street Sweeping

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

• Spot sweeping citywide. Residents are asked to sweep sidewalks in front of their properties. Sand should be placed in windrows and not in piles so that the equipment can successful­ly remove it.

Maintenanc­e Work

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Minor traffic impacts:

• Pothole repairs in all wards.

• Sewer cleaning and video inspection of various locations. Expect loud truck noise, localized detours and lane shifts.

• Sewer trench paving on Elm Street and Oliver to Hartwell street, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Expect road closures and constructi­on noise.

• Trench repair in the area of 9 Weymouth St. Expect local road closures.

• Highview Street sewer work will begin with the mobilizati­on of con

struction equipment and clearing of trees. Expect truck noise and equipment in the roadways.

• Repair water gate boxes at various locations throughout the city.

• Excavation to relocate water service in front of 260 Lincoln St. on Wednesday.

Hydrants

• Hydrant flushing on the high system (hydrants with red tops) in the area of Ashby State Road and Pearl Hill Road including all side/interconne­cting streets.

• Hydrant flushing on the low system (hydrants with black tops) in the area of Townsend Street from John Fitch Highway towards McIntosh Lane including all side/interconne­cting streets.
