Pregnant every year – dream or nightmare?

- Jackie Bryson Email Jackie Bryson at dreamretriever@yahoo.com.

When someone tells you to look at something in a different light, they usually shine the light on the different perspective they’re trying to show you. Sometimes it is obvious, and sometimes it is not. Our dream interpretations are an asset at this time, to say the least.

Dear Dream Retriever: I dreamt I was diagnosed with a blood disorder that gave me three weeks to live. My biggest and probably only true fear in life is that I won’t be ready to die when its time. Even worse would be to know when I was going to die in advance. However, in my dream, I was told that if I were to become pregnant, it would create enough red cells for me to live that nine months, and I concluded that I needed to get pregnant right away and just have a baby each year to stay alive.

In reality, I had fertility issues and it took five years to conceive our daughter.

Ultimately, my husband, in my dream, did not believe I was sick and would not support a pregnancy, and I had to tell my parents and friends that I would die in a couple weeks. What could all this mean? — Sarah

Dear Sarah: I can see that you are upset by this dream and hope I can set your mind at ease a little.

This dream is about your fears, not about you dying. You are being told to face your fears, and from where they stem, to understand what it has done to you.

You are told you have a blood disorder, which is telling you the issue at hand. Blood sustains life, and your life is out of order, or in chaos. The three weeks to live is telling you that time is running out for you to take action on this. So if you get pregnant (which is to focus on new beginnings and development of new life), you will live until you have the baby. This is really good news, not bad, this because you concluded that you need to stay pregnant.

You then say your husband doesn’t believe or support you, which would indicate feelings of lack of support, help and understanding around you, leaving you feeling as though you’re going to die and need to reach out to family and friends.

Please do, you will provide the support you need.
