LEOMINSTER - Jean A. (Bagley) Tessier 84 of Leominster, MA passed away unexpected­ly on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 while wintering in Virginia.

Born in Leominster, she was the daughter of Mary Olive Iona (Sauvageau) Bagley and Earl M. Bagley and lived her entire life in her beloved hometown.

Jean was very active with running the Wednesday afternoon Bingo at the Senior Center in Leominster, played Wednesday night Bingo at the High-Rise Senior apartment building and TOPS. She was a member of a knitting club and traveled on organized trips to Foxwoods and various plays, comedy shows and Mystery Trips. She was also a member of Holy Family Church.

Jean was the matriarch of a large family and leaves behind four children: Debra wife of Douglas Powell of Fitchburg, Robin Stanley of Sandston, VA, George Tessier and his wife Karen of Gardner and Sandra VanDyke of Chantilly, VA with whom she was visiting. In addition, she leaves behind ten grandchild­ren; Andrea, Heather, Charles, Jason, David, Ashley, Jesse, Michael, Christine and Megan who were her pride and joy. Twentytwo great-grandchild­ren and 2 great-great grandchild­ren all of whom she adored.

Jean also leaves behind her sister Emily Rougeau 96 of Leominster, three sisters-in-law; Marylou Kurtz, Penelope Joki and Gertrude

Tessier and one brother-in-law, Peter Tessier and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predecease­d by her parents, by her soul-mate and husband of 63 years, Leo Tessier Jr. in 2017, her brothers; John Bagley and Milton Bagley and sister Judy (Bagley) DesRoche.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 3rd from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home 106 West Street, Leominster, Ma. All who feel comfortabl­e are welcome to attend. Due to COVID restrictio­ns, the funeral Mass and burial will be private. www.richardson­funeralhom­e. net
