WESTMINSTE­R - Lorraine (LeBlanc) (Bessette) Emma, 90, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. She is survived by her sister Marie Dooling of St. Petersburg, FL, her 3 sons Thomas Bessette of Westminste­r, James Bessette of Leominster, Gregory Bessette and wife Denise Bessette of Westminste­r; 3 grandchild­ren Joshua, Zach and Cody

Bessette; 2 great-grandchild­ren Anthony and Brayden Bessette.

She was born in Fitchburg, Ma. on August 9, 1930 a daughter to the late Henry (Shorty White) LeBlanc of Fitchburg and MarieEdith (Boudreau) originally of Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick. Lorraine was predecease­d by her loving husband, Leo (Libo) Emma, her brothers Henry Raymond LeBlanc and her sister Terry Shea.

Lorraine enjoyed dancing, playing cards, vacationin­g in Maine and Florida but above all, her family meant the most to her.

Rest in peace Me’Me’, you will be missed.

The family would like to thank the many nurses and aides from Health Alliance Hospice Care for their support and a special thank you to her long time aide Rita, whom Lorraine became very attached to and considered her a very good friend over the years. Also, a thanks to Kathy for helping her in the last 2 weeks of her life. She really enjoyed her compassion­ate care and the friendship they developed in the evenings.

Due to the on going pandemic a private service will be held for Lorraine in the Spring time. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Lorraine’s memory be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
