Charlotte Anderson

-

LEOMINSTER - It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Charlotte, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched on January 8, 2021.

With her daughter at her side, she passed while listening to the sweet sound of Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon.”

Born on July 31, 1937, in Syracuse, New York, Charlotte was raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She was a

1955 graduate of Fitchburg High School. She kept the spirit of FHS alive as one of the key organizers for class reunions for as many years as there were classmates to connect with. She married Richard (Richie) Anderson in 1958 and had four children. Charlotte and Richie shared a life surrounded by friends, family and laughter until his passing in 2001. Although she never achieved her dream as a professional singer, she shined on the dance floor and was always ready to have a good time. Charlotte lived a full life committed to supporting her children and grandchildren’s activities and cheering them on through life. She spent summers at her home down the Cape, where she welcomed family and friends, sharing her love for the ocean. In her later years, she would chase the sun in the winter months to Englewood, FL. She took every opportunity to make a new friend and was truly the light in the room.

Charlotte was pure in her exchanges and simplistic in her love – it was unconditional and unwavering. As the matriarch of the Anderson home, she showed us the importance of enjoying the moment, creating experiences and honoring family and friends. She taught us to love and to laugh. If you failed to learn how to treat others by watching her, you were not watching. Please continue to honor her by loving graciously, living earnestly and forgiving easily.

She is survived by her son, Tom Anderson and his children Michael, Carly, Alyssa, Gabe, James and Dakota and great-grand child Mackenzie, her son, Bob Anderson and his wife Renee and their children, Lauryn, Rachel and Sarah, her son, Doug Anderson and his wife Colleen and their children, Paige and Taylor, and her daughter, Suzan (Couch) and her husband Ken and their children, Cameron and Adam.

A private memorial service for family will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Lunenburg chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Mass Ave., Lunenburg, MA. There will be a Celebration of Life in July for family and friends.
