A love of cooking’s on the menu at Pammy’s Place

When walking into Pammy’s Place you cannot help but notice two orange velvet chairs tucked in the corner of the newly established cafe, along with the smells of homemade food and a kind greeting from the owners.

The vintage orange chairs belonged to Pam herself, creating a warm atmosphere; they call it Pammy’s Cozy Corner.

Pammy’s Place, fondly named after Pamela (Stachera) Petricca opened on Jan. 1 and is located at 68 Airport Road.

Owned and operated by sisters Victoria Valeri and Alexandria Valeri-Marcelino, along with their aunt, Tara Petricca, this new establishment — considered a gourmet quick serve cafe — is serving up an assortment of food, including breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, freshly roasted local coffee, luncheon specials and baked goods.

“Our cafe is a dedication to our beloved mother and Nonie who enjoyed cooking for her family,” Petricca said. “When she passed away in 2017, it

brought us such sadness in our hearts that we wanted to carry forward her love of cooking and pass it on to our community.”

Besides sharing their love of cooking, the owners of Pammy’s Place also pride themselves on being able to cater to people of all dietary needs, featuring gluten free muffins, bagels and baked goods, along with a variety of keto and vegan selections; creating a wide variety of choices to suit everyone’s needs!

“We specialize in bagel sandwiches and have even named some after some very special people in our lives,” Valeri-Marcelino said. “One breakfast sandwich is named Pam Peters, featuring kielbasa and cream cheese, which is named after my Nonie, who loved that combination.”

Pammy’s Place menu isn’t just breakfast and lunch items, it has an array of options that are unique.

“Along with daily and weekly specials, Pammy’s Place is constantly creating flavor-bursting original specials,” Valeri said. “The idea of Pammy’s Place is to provide fresh food, full of flavor, but to be able to get it quick and to focus on tasty espresso drinks and beverages as well as options for gluten sensitivity.”

Opening a new business during the COVID-19 pandemic has its own unique challenges.

“As far as COVID-19 precautions, we were prepared for it before we moved in the location,” Petricca said. “The space we are renting was already equipped with a drive-thru window which was a perfect alternative to dine-in eating. All food is prepared to-go, so there is no cross contamination with dinnerware or glasses.”

Pammy’s Place also offers online ordering, which allows customers to order at their convenience and pick up at the drive-thru window or curbside.

When visiting Pammy’s Place, all COVID-19 precautions are required; remember to wear your mask when not sitting at a table and social distancing is expected.

The girls have lots of plans in store after COVID19 restrictions are in the past.

“We plan on hosting paint nights, group gatherings, and other activities to get interactive with the community,” Valeri-Marcelino said.

Pammy’s Girls say they are extremely thankful and blessed for the love and support they have received from the community in just the past two weeks they have been open.

“We are just beginning,” Petricca said. “We are excited to continue to provide you with ‘Wicked Good Eats’!”

Valeri shares in her family’s sentiments.

“This cafe has been a dream come true for our family,” she said. “Not only has it brought us closer together, it allows us to keep our Nonie’s spirit alive every day and we are having fun nourishing the community with our delicious food.”

Pammy’s Place is open daily from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. To view their menu, or order online, visit them on Instagram at @pammys_place or on Facebook. For more information, call 978- 627-3079.
