Agency coordinate­s vaccines for Gardner Housing Authority

LEOMINSTER » Montachuse­tt Home Care Corporatio­n recently helped oversee the administra­tion of the COVID-19 vaccinatio­n for the residents of the Gardner Housing Authority, according to an announceme­nt from the organizati­on.

The Gardner Housing Authority has been an important partner of Montachuse­tt Home Care, and when the GHA was ready to administer the vaccine, MHCC was ready in full force to help coordinate and oversee the seamless process,

according to the announceme­nt.

“I am so thankful for all those that assisted to make our first COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Church Street a success,” said Sandy Mullins, executive director of the Gardner Housing Authority. “We are looking forward to providing another clinic at GHA’s other senior housing Hillside Gardens very soon. All of our residents benefit greatly from the support from Montachuse­tt Home Care.”

MHCC was happy to provide vaccinatio­n care packages to the residents which included: brand new pairs of socks generously donated by the students at St. Anna’s Catholic School in Leominster, and facemasks which were donated by AIS Inc. in Leominster.

Lori Richardson, CEO of Montachuse­tt Home Care said: “Last year at this time, COVID-19 was unfamiliar to all of us, subsequent­ly it has changed our lives in so many challengin­g and even tragic ways, the vaccine brings hope. This hope was reflected in the gratitude of everyone receiving the vaccine today. Thank you to Sandy Mullins and her staff at the Gardner Housing Authority who continue to work tirelessly to support our older adults.”

Montachuse­tt Home Care will continue to help play an important role in the upcoming vaccinatio­n clinics across North Central Massachuse­tts.
