Road Construction
Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect road closures, delays and detours.
Gas main work by Unitil/NEUCO that may result in road closures and detours will continue all week in the areas of:
• Wallace Road at River Street to West Street
• West Street from Wallace Road to Westminster Hill Road
• Fairmont Place from Daniels Street to Fairmont Street
• Hasset Street from Albee Street to Canton Street
• Snow Street from Pearl Street to Cherry Street
• Routine sewer cleaning and inspections will be performed citywide, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Expect loud truck noise and localized traffic disruptions.
Highview Street Sewer Rehabilitation Project
• Work will take place TuesdayFriday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Lawn and site restoration and CCTV and cleaning of sewers in yards will be performed. Expect equipment in roadways and yard easements.
Combination Manhole Separation Project
• Work will take place at 25 Goodwin St. and South Street between Whalon Street and Pierce Avenue, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Expect local road closures and excavation equipment in roadways.
Combination Sanitary Sewer/ Storm Drain Separation Project
• Work may occur at Riverfront Park on Commercial Street at the cul-de-sac and Francis Street, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Expect detours and traffic delays.
Maintenance Work
Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Minor traffic impacts:
• Pothole repairs in all wards
• Day-time sweeping Monday in Ward 6A. Night-time sweeping Monday in Ward 6B. Night-time sweeping will be performed, Tuesday-Friday, April 13-21, in Wards 1A and 1B. Have your sidewalks swept before the sweepers do your street.
• Repair water gate boxes at various locations throughout the city
• Unitil will have one tree crew working along Rollstone Road and one crew working on Shea Street
Hydrants
• Hydrant maintenance citywide. Use SeeClickFix to report maintenance requests or concerns including potholes, sidewalks, signs/ signals, lights, parks, catch basins or manholes.
