Potential client has some questions

Dear Bonnie: I am thinking about going to a medium for a reading, but I would like to ask a couple of questions first.

Can I ask for someone special to come through during the reading?

Also, can multiple spirits come through that I did not ask to come? And did you ever ask someone to come through and they did not?

One more thing, what should a reading leave me with by the end of the session? — Laura

Dear Laura: I think everyone should ask a couple of questions from the medium they are going to have a reading with. That is why I have everyone call me personally to schedule their reading. You want to know that you and the medium are a good fit.

Mediums and their clients should have the same intent as to why they are coming for a reading.

As a medium, I like to make sure my client knows a little about me and why I do this work, which is all about healing for my client and their loved one in heaven.

One of the first things I ask when my client is sitting in front of me is, is there someone special you would like to hear from?

I simply write down their loved one’s first name and relationship; they might give me two or three depending on length of the appointment.

Yes, a spirit can come through that you did not ask for, especially if they have a strong message for you; they might show up to deliver the message.

We are working with an intelligent spirit world, so they usually know best.

Sometimes the person coming through might be a grandfather you never met here in the physical world, but he has become one of your spirit guides in heaven, and he wants to make sure you know he is guiding you.

As for someone not coming through whom you have requested, that has only happened once in the decade of readings I have done.

I asked for someone, and I heard they needed more time to build up their energy. You see, if someone had been ill for a long time and their energy was low when they left the physical world, they might need time in heaven to fully regain their energy.

A medium reading should leave you with a feeling of reassurance that life goes on and never ends.

When you walk away from your session, you should know without a doubt that it was, indeed, your loved one coming through.

The medium should have given you enough evidence that this was the person you wanted to talk with and, hopefully, you will walk away feeling content knowing that your loved one is OK and still in your life.
