LEOMINSTER - Carl E. Gesell, 56, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He is survived by his wife Lee Ann McEwanGese­ll; children: Ashley Leonardi z dV20p Abh1f7y Zcllb’W 1g Jefferson; Taylor Dalton of Leominster; and Daniel C.V. Gesell of Fitchburg; siblings: Susan Lange & companion Michael Chouinard of Clinton; Deborah Gosselin & husband William, Christine Potas & companion Terry Beaumont, and Cheryl Gesell, all of Leominster; nieces, nephews, granddogs, extended family and friends.

Carl was born in Clinton, son of the late

Glenn & Ann (Johnson) Gesell. He graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1982 and completed studies in the automotive repair program at ITT Technical Institute. Prior to working as a mechanic for Performanc­e Transporta­tion in Fitchburg, Carl was employed with the City of Leominster DPW and Morse Manufactur­ing. Known for his sarcasm and quick wit, laughter followed Carl wherever he went. Whether playing practical jokes or telling stories, he was the quintessen­tial life of the party. A man with many enjoyments, Carl loved Coney Island hot dogs, Marlboro cigarettes, Salisbury Beach, steak, lobster, and steamers. He was an Vybp 1cfp11WlhV­2D 0VhM’W V2p dl7’WhV2J kVWm kept a meticulous lawn and was happiest on his motorcycle.

Calling hours will be held from 3 until 5PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in the PhilbinCom­eau Funeral Home, 176 Water St.,
