The Leominster High baseball team continued its strong start to the season on Friday, cruising to a 7-2 win over Shepherd Hill at Doyle Field.

Nick Garcia and Brandon Arsenault each drove in a pair as the Blue Devils improved to 4-1. DOUGLAS 4, MONTY TECH 3» Dominic Hall had a pair of hits and drove in two for the Bulldogs ( 0- 3).

GROTON-DUNSTABLE 16, ST. BERNARD’S 0» The loss drops the Bernardian­s, who managed just a single hit, to 0-2.

Softball

SHEPHERD HILL 9, LEOMINSTER 0» Gina Wilson and Abby Barnaby each had a hit for the Blue Devils ( 2- 3) in the loss.

Girls lacrosse

HUDSON 11, FITCHBURG 9 » Alice Hun netted four goals for Fitchburg ( 0- 4), while Alexa Silverberg chipped in with a hat trick. TYNGSBORO 18, ST. BERNARD’S 1» Abbie Doheny scored for the Bernardian­s and goalkeeper Hannah Bergeron made six saves in the loss.

Boys tennis

LEOMINSTER 3, NORTH MIDDLESEX 2» The Blue Devils ( 2-1) swept the singles matches, with Billy Lefebvre, Ardon Zibel and John Machado earning victories.

The first doubles tandem of Josh Gruber and Dan Goad won for the Patriots, as did the second doubles team of Matt Burns and Peter Martinez.

NASHOBA 3, GROTON-DUNSTABLE 2» Stephen Green won in third singles for Nashoba ( 1- 3), while the first doubles team of Tyler Brown and Tyler Mignaul earned a victory, as did the second doubles duo of David Curran and Alex Jangro.

Girls tennis

QUABBIN 4, NORTH MIDDLESEX 1 » Lily Burg and Carly Shugrue won in second doubles action to notch the lone win for the Patriots (0-4).

GROTON-DUNSTABLE 3, NASHOBA 2» Emma Hakala and Eugenia Kovtun earned singles wins for Nashoba ( 1- 3).
