- Submitted Article

FITCHBURG » Calling all pets! Be PAWsitive Therapy Pets and Friends of Fitchburg DOGS Inc. have announced an upcoming low-cost rabies/vaccine clinic with Second Chance Animal Services.

The clinic will be held from 9

a.m. to noon, Saturday at Fitchburg Fire Department, 33 North St. It is open to all pet owners in the region.

Pre-payment and advance registration is required, due to COVID-19 social distancing protocols. Although Second Chance keeps its phone line open for emergencies, for this clinic, registration is available by phone for those without access to the internet. A $5 additional fee will apply. No walk-ins will be allowed.

Visit www.secondchanceanimalservices to pre-register and pre-pay for services — $15 for rabies and distemper/parvo, $20 for microchip. Pet owners will need to preregister online for this specific date and location.

Those who register will receive an email with an arrival time slot. The organization is asking those who register to arrive no earlier than five minutes beforehand. There will be limited time slots, so pet owners must be available for the entire time period of the clinic.

No refunds will be available, so if you are unable to attend your registration fees will be considered a donation.

Services include rabies, distemper (FVRCP & DA2PP) and microchips. Pet owners will remain outside, and staff will bring pets inside for vaccines or microchip. This allows Second Chance to offer more time slots.
