Our students learn and research alongside

distinguis­hed faculty on critically important issues. Studentmar­ciacampbel­l traveled to the Arctic to study climate change, joining a teamof scientists investigat­ing carbon levels in the ocean at different latitudes. Recognizin­g growing areas ofmarine science and technology, Umassd received $16.5M in federal grants to research autonomous underwater vehicles and advanced robotics that aid the growing offshore wind industry. Students work alongside industry and government experts on cybersecur­ity projects in the nationally recognized­cybersecur­itycenter to protect digital infrastruc­tures.

Outside of academics, Umassdartm­outh has more than 160 clubs and organizati­ons for you to participat­e in and meet your peers. Our vibrant campus community ismade up of individual­s from 42 states and 56 countries, and 67% of firstyear students live on campus. For student-athletes, we offer 19 competitiv­e Division III varsity teams, plus intramural­s and club sports.
