The Sun­day Con­cert Se­ries at the Springville Mu­seum of Art re­sumes Sun­day, Au­gust 17, 2014 at 4:30 pm in the Grand Gallery. The se­ries is free to the pub­lic and is spon­sored by the Springville Arts Com­mis­sion on the third Sun­day of ev­ery month.

Au­gust’s per­former is J.T. Hil­ton who is a coun­try and rock singer and entertainer. She per­forms a mix­ture of coun­try and clas­sic rock mu­sic that in­cludes hits like Burn­ing Love, Johnny B Goode, She’s Coun­try, Flat on the Floor, Tak­ing Care of Busi­ness, Hound Dog and Black Horse and a Cherry Tree. J.T. is 18 years old and has been per­form­ing for four years. She has per­formed at state and county fairs, fes­ti­vals and rodeos in Utah and Idaho. Some of the venues J.T. has per­formed at in­clude: Utah Arts Fes­ti­val, Utah State Fair, Eastern Idaho State Fair, Free­dom Fes­ti­val in Provo, Mil­lard County Fair, San­pete County Fair, Ute Stamped Rodeo, and the Springville Art City Days.

Septem­ber 21st will fea­ture Kalli Jackson. Kalli Jackson has been amaz­ing au­di­ences since she was eight years old. At the age of nine years old, Kalli’s first vo­cal com­pe­ti­tion, she com­peted against 10-14 year olds and she placed 3rd. At age 11, Kalli won the Scera Celebrity in Orem. Af­ter win­ning the Scera Celebrity Com­pe­ti­tion, she had many op­por­tu­ni­ties to sing for their events and other events all over the State. She was the warm up act for Boyz to Men and Lone Star at the Scera.

Vanessa Vega head­lines the Oc­to­ber 19th per­for­mance. Vanessa Vega is from Pasco, Wash­ing­ton, but cur­rently study­ing vo­cal per­for­mance and theatre at West­min­ster Col­lege in Salt Lake City. Her long term goal is to be­come an opera singer. She has com­peted in Wash­ing­ton State and na­tional vo­cal com­pe­ti­tions and earned third place at the Mu­sic Teach­ers’ Na­tional As­so­ci­a­tion com­pe­ti­tion in Cal­i­for­nia, March 2013. She has also been the re­cip­i­ent of Spokane Mu­sicfest North­west’s Sr. Ma­ri­etta Coyle schol­ar­ship and their “Ad­ju­di­ca­tor’s Choice” award for 2013. In ad­di­tion, Vanessa re­ceived West­min­ster Merit, Ex­em­plary Achieve­ment, and Mu­sic Schol­ar­ships.

Novem­ber’s con­cert will be booked soon.

The ever pop­u­lar an­nual con­cert by the Utah Val­ley Hand­bell Ringers will be on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 14th. Free tick­ets will be avail­able at the Mu­seum start­ing in Novem­ber. More in­for­ma­tion to come.
