East Bay fer­til­ity cen­ter now open in Payson

East Bay Fer­til­ity and Hor­mone Ther­apy Cen­ter held a rib­bon-cut­ting cer­me­ony re­cently to cel­e­brate the open­ing of its new Payson of­fice at 123 N. 500 East. East Bay Fer­til­ity and Hor­mone Ther­apy Cen­ter is one of Utah’s lead­ing fer­til­ity cen­ters. For more than 20 years, Larry G. An­drew, DO, has been us­ing state-of-the- art tech­nol­ogy to treat and di­ag­nose pa­tients with fer­til­ity-re­lated prob­lems. The cen­ter fo­cuses on qual­ity and per­sonal pa­tient care.

Dr. An­drew and staff work with each pa­tient to de­velop a per­son­al­ized treat­ment plan to op­ti­mize their suc­cess. They work with both tra­di­tional and non­tra­di­tional fam­i­lies.

They of­fer the low­est-price IVF cy­cles in Utah and their preg­nancy rates are among the high­est in the coun­try. Pa­tients travel from all over the coun­try to be treated at their fa­cil­ity. They have treated pa­tients from 40 states and 20 for­eign coun­tries and have been voted as “Best Fer­til­ity Cen­ter” for sev­eral years by the Daily Her­ald and Utah Val­ley Mag­a­zine.

Its friendly staff strives to give each pa­tient the in­di­vid­ual at­ten­tion they de­serve. Pa­tients are not just a name or num­ber to them, but part of their ex­tended fam­ily. They aim to give pa­tients the best ex­pe­ri­ence pos­si­ble each time they call or come to the of­fice.

Dr. An­drew spe­cial­izes in help­ing those with re­cur­rent mis­car­riages, “un­ex­plained” in­fer­til­ity, en­dometrio­sis and poly­cys­tic ovar­ian syn­drome. He at­tended med­i­cal school at Kirksville Col­lege of Os­teo­pathic Med­i­cal School, one of the found­ing schools of os­teo­pathic medicine and surgery. Af­ter an in­tern­ship and res­i­dency in Michi­gan, Dr. An­drew and his fam­ily moved to Utah to prac­tice medicine.

Dr. An­drew has also been do­ing bioiden­ti­cal hor­mone ther­apy for 20 years. He was one of three doc­tors who ini­tially be­gan do­ing pel­let ther­apy in Utah. He is Sot­topelle cer­ti­fied.

Em­bry­ol­o­gist Thomas Chang has been work­ing in the field of re­pro­duc­tive em­bry­ol­ogy since 1992. In 1996, he was the lab su­per­vi­sor at the Ge­net­ics and IVF In­sti­tute of Ohio where he was suc­cess­ful in help­ing to es­tab­lish the first ICSI preg­nancy.

Dr. An­drew and Chang are mem­bers of the Amer­i­can So­ci­ety of Re­pro­duc­tive Medicine. East Bay’s clin­i­cal lab­o­ra­tory is cer­ti­fied by CLIA.
