Moroni Statue Follow-up

- By Ed Helmick

Last month’s article on the sculpture of the Moroni Statue atop Mormon Temples stated that all temples were adorned with the gold-plated statue. Off course we were corrected on that. As the author of that article my reaction was, “yes, I knew that” and in my surprise that the sculpture was not designed by an LDS member I momentarily overlooked the correct facts.

As a follow-up let me bring some additional facts. There are 168 dedicated temples and 8 temples in the world do not have statues. Eight temples do not have Moroni statues:

Cardston Alberta, Ham-ilton New Zealand, Laie Hawaii, Logan Utah, Mesa Arizona, Oakland California, St. George Utah, and Paris France(Helmick is a Serve Daily contributor.)
