SHELBY -- The organizer of the upcoming Shelby Fall Fest is looking for “classic, cool, new cars, trucks and motorcycles” to participate in an event that is set from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the parking lots of the Vault Wine Bar, The Q, Legends Sports Grill & Pub and the Fan Cave Shop.

The overall festival, centered in downtown and Black Fork Commons, is a “family friendly event that will get people to walk from business to business to check out your vehicles,” event founder Connie Roub said in a message to the Shelby Daily Globe. “Eat at our local restaurants or enjoy food from the food trucks.”

The event also is to include a farmers market, vendor/craft show, family scarecrow contest and much more, Roub said.

Those wishing to participate can contact through Roub through the Shelby Fall Fest Facebook page or the Vault Wine Bar, The Q, Legends Sports Grill & Pub or the Fan Cave Shop to set up in their parking lots, Roub reported.

“I’m trying to use the whole town thru Main Street,” Roub wrote in describing the festival location. “The vendors and farmers market will be in the green space and pavilion at Black Fork Commons, and the scarecrow contest will also be in that area. We will have a food truck at Black Fork Commons area and hopefully one at Fan Cave.”

Roub is looking for downtown restaurants to be open during the fest, which also could include an event at the amphitheater with local churches, she added.
