Lady Whippets to host Clear Fork in tourney

Shelby will host an opening round volleyball game in the Division II Sectional/district.

The Lady Whippets, who are 8-12 on the season and seeded eighth, welcome Mid Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Clear Fork, the No. 9 seed, in a sectional semifinal game scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19.

The Shelby-clear Fork winner will be in action two days later in the sectional championship game that will take place 5 p.m. at second-seeded Galion.

Plymouth, which is seeded 11th in the Division IV Sectional/district, will take the floor on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at New London for a 5 p.m. clash with the No. 10 seed Wildcats.

The winner of the Plymouth-new London match earns a date No. 1 seeded Monroeville on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m.
