Chamber Small Business of the Year Committee narrows its candidates

The Board of Directors and Small Business of the Year Committee of the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Developmen­t will soon be honoring and celebratin­g all small businesses and naming their 2020 Small Business of the Year Recipients. The event will be held live from the DRM Production­s studio on the Chamber’s Facebook page on December 16 from 12:00-1:00pm as the winners of the Small Business of the Year are announced. Each Finalist will be featured in a short video highlighti­ng their business, sponsored by Mechanics Bank. There is no fee and no need to register. Presented by Medical Mutual, the awards will be given to the Small Business of the Year with 15 and more employees and 14 and fewer employees.

Finalists in the 14 and fewer employee category are DRM Production­s, Elzy Milling and Trade, and Studio 19 Salon & Spa

Finalists in the 15+ employee category are Dearman Moving & Storage, Debt Recovery Solutions of Ohio, and Schmidt Security Pro.

The non-profit winner, Richland County Foundation, has already been announced and will receive their award during the presentati­on.

A new award for 2020, the Community Spirit Award, has also already been announced. The recipients are Studio 19 Salon & Spa and Y-not Cycling & Fitness.
