2022 Shelby FFA Awards and Recognition Banquet
Thursday evening Shelby’s FFA and guests enjoyed a delicious meal and celebrated many outstanding FFA students. Current President of the FFA Chapter, Cadence Fairchild did the introduction, with Ryleigh Chase giving the blessing before the meal. Also, current officers are: Vice Presidents-anderson Roll and Kelsey Snyder; Secretary-haley Eldridge; Treasurer-micah Miller; Reporters-jacob Williams and Sofia Johnson; Sentinel-ryan Dick; Student Advisor-joseph Williams; Historian-vanna Burns; Parliamentarianalyssa Neill and Chaplin Ryleigh Chase.
Star Award recognition went to: Natalie Korbas (Star Discovery), Morgan Adkins and Cailey Fairchild (Star Greenhand), Sofi Johnson and Kelsey Snyder (Star Voag 2), Kylee Bloomfield (Star Voag 3), Ryan Dick (Star Voag4), and Cadence Fairchild (Star Chapter Farmer).
FFA Scholarships awards went to the following: Joe Williams and Ryleigh Chase (Strauck Agricultural Scholarship), Joe Williams and Ryleigh Chase (Charles L. Niese Scholarship), Adam Niese and Ryan Dick (Andy Dawson Memorial Scholarship), Ryleigh Chase (Ohio Earth Tools Scholarship), Adam Niese and Ryan Dick (Paul Champion Scholarship), and Rain Peyton and Keith Ball (Ed Schroeder Freshman Scholarship).

State FFA Awards went to the following: Reporter’s Book- (Gold Rating). The scrapbook featured articles written by Sofia Johnson and was compiled by Vanna Burns. This received a perfect score and a Gold rating by the Ohio FFA
Association.
Treasurer’s Book(gold Rating). Micah Miller was responsible for completing a state report on the finances of the chapter. The book received a gold rating for Micah’s efforts. This took several days- worth of compiling reports and information.
State FFA Bandmacey Parks (flute), Gracie Rodman (trombone), Carson Secriskey (saxophone), and Cailey Fairchild (percussion) all participated in the State FFA Band during the trip to the State FA Convention May 5th and 6th. They were chosen by state officials based on an application.
