SOFTBALL Trinity United tops Alliance 8-6

Trinity United Methodist Church scored an 8-6 minor division girls softball win against Shelby Alliance Church at the Dowds School complex.

Natalie Adkins sparked Trinity United Methodist at the plate with three hits. Kayla Lykins added a pair of safeties while Ella Delauder and Kinley Lewis each had a hit.

Matalyn Byrd poked three hits for the Shelby Alliance Church. Ciarra Nolen was next with two safeties. Emalyn Jamison, Ava Collins and Maddilynn Stump each had a hit.

Winning pitcher was Lewis with 13 strikeouts and six walks. Jamison suffered the loss and recorded 14 strikeouts and six walks. Kendall Eikleberry also pitched and tallied two strikeouts and one walk.

Accurate Auto 3, Healing Hands 1

In a pitcher’s duel, Accurate Auto eased past Healing Hands 3-1 during a major division clash.

Emma Mahek earned the win with a four-hitter. She fanned 10 batters and walked six.

Peyton Bruskotter suffered the loss and also allowed four hits. She whiffed 17 batters and walked two.

Chloe Mahek doubled and singled for Accurate Auto. Emma Mahek had a pair of hits.

Kendall Bowman stroked a pair of hits for Healing Hands. Bruskotter and Karsyn Steele-adkins each had a single.

Trinity United Methodist 14, Diner 39 3

Trinity United Methodist Church overpowere­d Diner 39 during minor division play by a 14-3 score.

Ella Delauder and Natalie Adkins each belted a pair of hits. Izzy Stairs and Kinley Lewis each had a home run. Olivia Metzger had a single.

Becca Bruskotter had a pair of hits for Diner 39. Adkins was the winning pitcher and she had three strikeouts and two walks. Also pitcher were Lewis, Delauder and Rory Zimmer who combined for seven strikeouts and four walks. In the loss, Bruskotter recorded seven strikeouts and 13 walks.
