BASEBALL Apex topples Charles Miller

Adam Edwardsfou­ntain homered for Apex in a 7-4 major division Little League baseball victory against Charles Miller & Associates at Copperweld Field.

Barron Walp and Avery Tuttle boosted the Apex offense by smashing a triple and a double, respective­ly. Aden Lewis and Charlie Long each had a basehit in the win.

Lucas Mohn ripped a triple for Charles Miller & Associates. Chase Eikleberry, Max Miller and Brock Gosser each delivered a double.

Lewis was credited with the triumph on the hill as he allowed two runs on two hits with nine strikeouts and three walks. Walp also pitched and yielded a pair of runs on two hits with four strikeouts and five walks.

Eikleberry was pinned with the setback and surrendere­d four runs on one hit with seven strikeouts and six walks. Parker Miller finished up and allowed three runs on three hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Charles Miller & Associates fought to a 6-6 tie with major division opponent Spitzer.

Clayton Lykins hammered a home run and a single for Spitzer. Dylan Studer and Keegan Schroeder each belted a double and a single. Liam Young and Wyatt Mckenzie each had a two-bagger. Clayton Mitchell added a basehit.

Chase Eikleberry topped Charles Miller & Associates with a triple, double and single. Parker Miller clubbed a triple and Avery Tuttle had a single.

Wyatt Mckenzie started for Spitzer and racked up 13 strikeouts against four walks. Lykins followed with three strikeouts and two walks.

Lucas Mohn struck out seven and walked three in the starter for Charles Miller & Associates. Miller relieved and had five strikeouts and two walks.

Cooke Transport 9, Lamb Builders 8

In a closely-contested major division encounter, Cooke Transport turned back Lamb Builders 9-8 at Copperweld Field.

Ayden Ensman drilled a triple and a double for Cooke Transport. KC Cooke, Brady Watts and Kaleb Reed each had a single.

Kolstin Lamb and William Martin had a hit apiece for Lamb Builders.

Connor Parsons was the winning pitcher while Ensman and Jackson Curry also pitched in the win.

Cooke Transport 7, M.R. Heating 4

Cooke Transport picked up a second consecutiv­e triumph by knocking off M.R. Heating 7-4 in a major division contest at Copperweld Field.

Connor Parsons smacked a double for Cooke Transport while KC Cooke and Brady Watts each had a hit.

For M.R. Heating, Jace Cains laced a double and a single while Connor Bowman and William Fry each had a hit.

Easton Parsons was the winning hurler and Watts picked up the save.
