Rainbows install new officers

- By Janelle Jessen Staff Writer jjessen@nwadg.com

In early August, the Installation of Officers for Siloam Springs Assembly #11 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) was held at the Siloam Springs Masonic Lodge. Juliana Coyles was installed as Worthy Advisor, a role which takes on the responsibilities of the assembly.

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit organization for girls 11-21 that teaches leadership skills, public speaking, mentoring, memorization, confidence, patriotism, and service to the community, all of which are lifelong benefits. The Assembly meets at 7 p.m., the second and fourth Monday of every month.

Adult leadership is a critical part of IORG as they volunteer to help guide, mentor and encourage the young ladies. Michael Lewis serves as Rainbow Dad and Julie Lewis serves as Mother Advisor.

For those interested in knowing more about IORG and how it can benefit their daughter, granddaughter, sister or niece, check out gorainbow.org or contact Julie Lewis, Mother Advisor at 479-644-4134 or 2teacherhogs@gmail.com
