Junior high volleyball teams drop openers

CENTERTON — The Siloam Springs eighthand ninth-grade volleyball teams played their seasonopeners on Monday night at brand new Bentonville West High School.

The ninth-grade team lost to Bentonville West 25-11, 25-16. Abby Hornbuckle led the Lady Panthers (0-1) with three aces.

Bentonville Fulbright defeated the eighth-grade Lady Panthers (0-1) 17-25, 25-10, 15-12.

Both teams were back in action on Tuesday evening against Rogers High and Rogers Kirksey. Results were not available at presstime.
