Siloam Springs splits seventh-grade football games

Josh Stewart scored from 10 yards out on a quarterbac­k scramble on fourth down with four seconds left to give the Siloam Springs seventh-grade football team a 6-0 win against Mountain Home on Monday in the ‘A’ game at Panther Stadium.

Offensivel­y Stewart totaled 103 yards, including 8 of 11 passing for 91 yards. Hunter Tallay caught five passes for 33 yards, while Christian Ledeker caught two passes for 35 yards and Ty Lewis had two catches for 23 yards. Lewis also had 22 rushing yards on eight carries.

Siloam Springs’ defense held Mountain Home to minus eight yards on 13 carries, and sacked the Bombers on both pass attempts. Mountain Home won the ‘B’ game 12-6.

Neo Harrower led Siloam Springs with seven carries for 95 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown. Mountain Home rushed 26 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

The seventh-graders play at Springdale on Monday.
