Downtown Trick-or-Treat

Downtown businesses will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31. For more informatio­n about Main Street Siloam Springs events visit the organizati­on’s Facebook page.

JBU Art Exhibit

“The Hutcheson Collection; From the eye of an artist,” will be on exhibit at John Brown University’s Windgate Visual Arts West Gallery from Oct. 6 through Nov. 4. The collection features 43 pieces collected over the lifetime of Dede Hutcheson. An opening reception will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 6. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Free Flu Shot Clinic For Veterans

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1674 and the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks will be hosting a free flu shot clinic for veterans from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Post located at 830 South Lincoln Street. All veterans are welcome and do not have to be members of the post to participat­e. To receive a shot, participan­ts will need to verify they are veterans. They will will need to bring their DD214, and if they have a VA card, they may bring that so the nurse can document the shot on their VA records. Oktoberfes­t: Tap Into History

Oktoberfes­t: Tap Into History, a pub crawl with a side of history, will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 15 in downtown Siloam Springs. Tickets are $25 and will include three pours at downtown venues and tidbits of Siloam Springs’ German heritage. The evening will begin at Creekside Taproom, located at 100 E. Alpine St., with stops at the Siloam Springs Museum, 28 Springs and Inn at the Springs for beer or soda, soft pretzel, music and games. Proceeds support the Siloam Springs Museum. Must be 21 or over and show ID. Tickets can be purchased at www.siloamspri­ngsmuseum.com/events/
