Stuart Lynn Chaney
Stuart Lynn Chaney, 64, of Chewey, Okla., died Oct. 18, 2016 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was born Dec. 29, 1951 in Harrison, Ark., to Willard and Ellen Chaney. He earned a degree in horticulture form the University of Arkansas. He married Diana Tuttle on Feb. 6, 1988 in Stillwell, Okla. He was the manager of the Gardens Alive Nursery in Hulbert, Okla. He loved to hunt and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid gunsmith; he did his own reloading of shells and could work on any gun and the people of the Chewey Community would bring their guns to him.
He is survived by his wife; his parents; a daughter, Amy Franklin of Caddo, Okla.; and a sister, Pamela Hilton of Hideaway Lake, Texas.
A memorial service was held Oct. 21, 2016 at the Backtrom – Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Backstrom – Pyeatte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
John Wayne Davis
John Wayne Davis, 85, of Sacramento, Calif., died Oct. 15, 2016, in Sacramento.
He was born Dec. 15, 1930, in Logan Community, Ark., to Lonnie Davis and Artie (Burnett) Davis. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a retired probation officer.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Dee; and his sister, Lois Harper.
He is survived by his sister Betty Breedlove Wilson of Siloam Springs, Ark.; his brother, Rick Davis and wife Dawn of Troy, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Danny Rex Martin
Danny Rex Martin, 58, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away Monday, October 17, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Danny was born on September 4, 1958, in Washington, D.C., a son of Kenneth Rex Martin and Evelyn Joyce Hevrin Martin. Danny was a graduate of Lake Hamilton High School, Class of 1977, he then attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he played college football. He attended the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and worked in the funeral industry for several years in Texas and Arkansas. He then found his true passion, driving trucks and drove for several companies including Wiltrans, Oakley, Daily Direct and lastly for Larry Williams Trucking.
Danny was a member of the Baptist denomination, loved sports, was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Above all Danny was dedicated to his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could.
He is survived by two brothers, Jerry Martin and wife Karen of Coleman, Texas, and Don Martin and wife Kathleen of Siloam Springs; five sisters, Tamara Martin of Las Vegas, Nev., Pam and husband Bruce Ridling of Borger, Texas, Michelle and husband Wally Catlin of Seattle, Wash., Karman Straubing and Ken Maxwell of Leola, Pa., and Lori and husband John Richardson of Las Vegas, Nev.; along with a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation were held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home, Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services were held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. Pastors John Richardson and Bruce Ridling officiated the services, with burial being held at the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. David Lee Winkler
David Lee Winkler, 47, of Colcord, Okla., died Oct. 13, 2016, at the Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born Aug. 13, 1969, in Walsh, Okla., to Willard and Mary Winkler. He had worked as a general laborer. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, he was an avid NASCAR fan and loved animals.
He is survived by two daughters, Ashley Pierce of Oklahoma City, and Haley Pierce of Siloam Springs, Ark.; four brothers, Alvin Winkler of Siloam Springs, Junior Winkler of Kansas, Okla., Eric Winkler of Westville, Okla., and Jimmy Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.
Visitation and a graveside service were held on Oct. 20, 2016, at Row Cemetery in Colcord, with Brian Stocklager officiating.
