Dorothy Mae Denney
Dorothy Mae Denney, 83, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Oct. 25, 2016.
She was born July 6, 1933, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Vernon and Margaret Sanderson.
She married Harold W. Denney on October 18, 1952, in Carlsbad, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, mother, one brother and his wife.
She is survived by three daughters, Dusty Fountain of the home, Debra Lynch of Gentry, Ark., Linda Small and husband David of Westville, Okla.; two sisters and two brothers; eight grandchildren; and 11 ½ great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Oct. 29, 2016, at the First Christian Church of Siloam Springs, Ark. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Christian Church or the Washington Regional Hospice.

Katharine “Kathy” M. Glaze
Katharine “Kathy” M. Glaze, 53, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Oct. 27, 2016, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, Ark.
She was born Aug. 26, 1963, in New York, she was the daughter of Paul Chmielewski and Geraldine Theurer Chmielewski. She married Michael Glaze in Eureka Springs, Ark., twenty years ago. She was a loan officer for Security Finance.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Kindra Glaze of Siloam Springs; her mother, Geraldine Chmielewski of Siloam Springs; a sister, Diane Cooper of Siloam Springs; and one grandson.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Dr. Edwin Whiteside
Dr. Edwin Whiteside, 84. of Fayetteville, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, in Fayetteville.
He was born May 3, 1932, in Bentonville, Ark., to Tom Whiteside and Grayce Broyles Whiteside.
He was a retired allergist/immunologist and a member of Central United Methodist Church after previously being a member of University Baptist Church for 40 years.
He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had a distinguished and varied career with the United States Air Force and with flying. He began the process as an aviation cadet but was redirected to medical school. He then came on active duty as a flight surgeon and finished the Air Force service. He went on to serve more than 25 years in the Arkansas Air National Guard. He developed a love of flying as a young boy and owned his own aircrafts using them to fly his friends across the country and for his own enjoyment including acrobatics. He finished his military career as State Flight Surgeon for the Arkansas Air Guard after serving for several years as Flight Surgeon for the 188th fighter group in Fort Smith. He retired as a Colonel and was buried with military honors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole and son, Scott Whiteside.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan Roberts and husband, Gregg of Fort Smith, Ark.; and three sons, Kirk Whiteside, Dr. Tom Whiteside and wife LaDawna, and David Whiteside, all of Fayetteville; two sisters, Sue Nelson and Ann Haid, both of Siloam Springs, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were Oct. 26, at Central United Methodist Church with Dr. H.D. McCarty officiating. Burial with Military Honors was at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Life in Little Rock.
Lucille “Lucy” Dell Young
Lucille “Lucy” Dell Young, 74, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Oct. 25, 2016, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
She was born April 7, 1942, in Titusville, Pa., to Elmer Jeffreys and Ina Blair Jeffreys. She was affiliated with the Crossroads Fellowship Church in Siloam Springs, and worked a number of years at Dayspring Cards.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Delbert Jeffreys.
She is survived by three sons, Steve Young of Siloam Springs, Calvin Scott Young of Jasper, Ark., and Jeffrey Young of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Brenda Hebison of Siloam Springs, and Tammy Messer of Eagle Lake, Minn.; a brother, Raymond Jeffreys of Youngtown, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
A visitation was held Oct. 29, 2016, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
