Vera Fain

Vera Fain, 90, formerly of Kansas, Okla., died Nov. 8, 2016, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

She was born Sept. 3, 1926, at her parents’ home in the Norwood Community, Ark. She was the daughter of Earl Collins and Elizabeth Holland Collins.

She worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Kansas, Okla., for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kansas, Okla.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Collins; and one sister, Pauline Long.

She is survived by one son, Joe Carnes and wife Teri of Kansas, Okla.; one daughter, Wilma Roberts and husband Johnny of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Billy Collins and Cathy Ross of Emporia, Kan., and Delmar and Donna Collins of Wedington, Ark.; one sister; Ella Mae Thurman of Lincoln, Ark.; eight grandchild­ren; and nine great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 11, at the First Baptist Church in Kansas, Okla., with Pastor Terry Wofford officiatin­g. Burial was at Johnson Cemetery.

Dallas Glen Scott

Dallas Glen Scott, 41, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

He was born Jan. 15, 1975, in Siloam Springs, to Gene Dallas Scott and Linda Ann Jones Scott. He was a cabinet installer. He was an artist who loved to paint, loved music and was a talented singer. He loved people and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his father, Gene Scott and wife Sherry of Colcord, Okla.; his mother, Linda Scott of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Maria Jose Scott and Isolina Del Carmen Scott, both of Siloam Springs; one brother, Kyle Scott and wife Kelley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two stepbrothe­rs, Robert “Buddy” Conduff and wife Kris of Canton, Ga., and Richard “Bucky” Conduff and wife Carla of Cartervill­e, Ga.

A memorial service was held on Nov. 12 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel, with Pastor Chip Reagan officiatin­g.
