UMC Thanksgiving dinner
United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs will host its 14th annual Community Thanksgiving meal from noon to 2 p.m. on Nov. 24 at 325 E. Twin Springs.
The menu will be turkey, ham, green bean casserole, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, roll and dessert.
Dine in, carry out and delivery options are available.

Writers Guild to present Christmas program
The Siloam Springs Writers Guild will present its Christmas program at its meeting, Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. in classroom 240 of First Baptist Church, 2000 Dawn Hill West. Use the front entrance, upper level. The program will consist of a combination of music and prose readings by the members.
Refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend. December assignments are as follows: Prose — Write a Christmas Carol or Story; and Poetry — Winter Free Verse (limit 30 lines).
Christmas Candlelight Home Tour
Mothering Matters will host the Christmas Candlelight Home Tour from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 2. Four beautiful homes, plus an extra bonus loft downtown, will be dressed in their holiday best and open for tours. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door of any of the homes the night of the tour (cash or check only). The money raised will benefit Mother Matters. Tickets can be purchased at Cafe on Broadway, Honeysuckle, Occasions, 2 Gals’ Junk, BLU Foundry, Sassafras and Cari’s Closet. Dogwood Festival T-Shirt Design Contest
The Chamber of Commerce is holding the 43rd annual Dogwood Festival T-shirt Design Contest. Submissions will be accepted through Nov. 30. The Dogwood Festival Committee will choose the winner through blind picking. Designs should be for single-sided print and one ink color. T-shirt color can be specified but is not necessary. The winner will receive a T-shirt and $50. Email submissions to mary@siloamchamber. com or drop off at the Chamber office, located at 108 E. University St.
