Celtic Evensong with Holy Eucharist

A Celtic Evensong with Holy Eucharist service will be offered at Grace Episcopal Church, Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m. This Celtic worship service celebrates liturgical traditions drawn from Iona and Northumbri­a, celebratin­g simplicity, meditation, music and community. This service welcomes worshipers from other faith traditions, as well as those with little to no religious background. All are welcome.

Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary Catholic Church provides free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month. However, during December the meal will be moved to the third Friday of the month, Dec. 16, because of the holidays. The regular schedule will resume in January. Veterans, the homeless, needy, elderly, unemployed, lonely and any families with children are invited to the free home-cooked meal. The church is located at 1998 U.S. Highway 412 next to 2 B’s Auto Sales. For more informatio­n or to donate call 524-8642.
