SPRINGDALE — Around 150 people gathered in the cold outside Arvest Ballpark in Springdale to hold a prayer vigil for Carol and RoseMarry Davidson on Wednesday night.

“First we pray, God, for a safe return,” began Todd Stephens, a family friend of more than 20 years who met Carol’s mother through a Christmas ministry.

“I pray that you return them to us unharmed and quickly,” Stephens said.

Stephens and the gathered friends and family prayed, sang and lit candles for Carol Davidson, 35, and her 18-month-old daughter, who have been missing since Nov. 12.

Police and several other agencies, including the FBI, U.S. Marshals Services and several county agencies in Washington and

Benton counties, have searched for the pair using K9 units and helicopters. Davidson’s minivan was recovered near Siloam Springs on Lookout Tower Road three days after Davidson was reported missing.

“At this time there is no single piece of information which has led investigators to determine the whereabouts or welfare of RoseMarry and Carol Davidson,” a press release from the city of Siloam Springs on Dec. 14 said. “The police department continues to analyze the data collected and is actively pursuing new information as it is received.”

“Carol, she is loved,” said Carol’s sister, Terri Russo, at the vigil. “She didn’t just vanish. She didn’t just walk away from this family, from this support.”

“We’re hoping for a miracle here,” Russo said.

The vigil closed with those present singing “Amazing Grace” and some words from Coleen Nick, from the Morgan Nick Foundation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
