Terry Wayne Karpen

Terry Wayne Karpen, 71, of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Jan. 4, 2017, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

He was born April 15, 1945, in Greeley, Colo., to Theodore Karpen and Margaret Calhoun Karpen. He married Hope De-Ann Church on April 20, 2002. He was a pilot for Frontier and Continenta­l Airlines. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of Lighthouse Community Church in Denver, Colo., and Christ Temple Church in West Siloam Springs.

He was preceded in death by a son, Vernon; a sister, Judy; and two brothers, Wilbur and John.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Traci Wuth and husband Carl of Broomfield, Colo., Veronica Hawkins and husband Ron of West Siloam Springs, and Christie Brooks and husband Wayne of Granby, Mo.; three sons, Robert Ropkin and wife Georgina of Arvada, Colo., Michael Ropkin of Lakewood, Colo., and Robbie Howell and wife Michelle of Siloam Springs, Ark.; 11 grandchild­ren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Kathy Riddle and husband Mark of Monmouth, Ore., and Nancy Humbert and husband Kinny of Warren, Ore.; two brothers, Ted Winters and wife Wiona of Monmouth, and Scott Wells and wife Dahnielle of Walla Walla, Wash.; and father- and mother-in-law Luke and June Church of West Siloam Springs, Okla.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

Faye Melea Earp Porter

Faye Melea Earp Porter, 84, of Kansas, Okla., died Jan. 2, 2016, at her home.

She was born April 7, 1932, in Delaware County, Okla., to Albert “Bert” January and Ina Little January. She lived most of her life in Delaware County, but spent some years in Chouteau, Okla., and Kansas City, Mo. She was a homemaker and worked in the Colcord, Okla., and Mazie, Okla., school systems. She retired from N.E. VoTech in Pryor, Okla. She married Ardell Porter on May 4, 1990. She was a member of the Kansas Church of Christ in Kansas, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mack Earp; a son, Kenneth Porter; a granddaugh­ter, January Earp; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Ardell Porter; two sons, Dennis Earp and wife Jill of Quapaw, Okla., and Mike Earp and wife Cheryl of Skiatook, Okla.; three stepdaught­ers, Paula McKinzey and husband Jim of Creighton, Mo., Judy Mann and husband Mike of Kansas City, Mo., and Carol Ann Foster and husband Alan of Lee’s Summitt, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Trish Porter of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; 17 grandchild­ren; and 38 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were Jan. 6, 2016, at Colcord Church of Christ in Colcord. Burial followed at Row Cemetery in Colcord.
