Panther baseball hold camp Feb. 18

The Siloam Springs High School baseball program will host its SSHS Baseball Camp on Saturday, Feb. 18., at James Butts Baseball Park. The camp is for students in first grade through eighth grade and two sessions are available. Session I will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and will include proper warm-up, throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, pitching and catching. Cost is $40 for one child, $70 for two and $90 for three or more. Session II will run from noon to 1 p.m. and includes specialize­d sessions for pitcher, catcher, infield, outfield and hitting. Cost is $20 for one child, $30 for two children and $40 for three or more. Instructor­s for this clinic will be the high school coaches and players. There also will be special guest coaches with different levels of coaching and playing experience. Participan­ts will learn SSHS baseball in preparatio­n for the upcoming season. Sessions will include the fundamenta­ls of hitting, fielding, throwing, bunting, pitching, catching and base running. Please wear proper baseball attire. No shorts or jeans. Bring bat, glove and helmet. Price of the camp includes T-shirt and pizza. A Dollars for Distance Homerun Derby will be held afterward.
