Donald Wilson Barnes

Donald Wilson Barnes, 79, of Russellvil­le, Ark., passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellvil­le.

Donald was born on August 2, 1937, in Tulsa, Okla., a son of Jesse Lee Barnes and Ernestine Ford Barnes. Donald loved oldtime records of Country music and had previously worked as a dishwasher for the Hot Springs Country Club.

Survivors include three sisters, Patsy and husband Bobby Mullen of Russellvil­le, Ark., Mary and husband Bob Coones of Gentry, Ark., and Vivian Olsen of Hammond, Ore.; two sisters-in-law, Norene Barnes of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Grace Barnes of California; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Emmette and Roy Paul Barnes.

Private funeral services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of the BackstromP­yeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Richard Dale Benskin

Richard Dale Benskin, 63, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Feb. 12, 2017, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.

He was born Dec. 12, 1953, in Newport, Ark. He married June Cauthon on July 22, 2008, in Siloam Springs. He worked as a plumber, truck driver and a lead safety officer on an oil rig. He spent the last few years as a stay-athome dad.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lina Mae Patterson; and one daughter, Geneva Benskin.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ricky Jay Benskin of Newport, Ark., Jerry Benskin of Siloam Springs, and Jeffrey Benskin of the home; and one daughter, Leigh Benskin of the home.
