Book Signing
The Cafe on Broadway is hosting author Gary Guinn for a reading and book signing of his novel Sacrificial Lam at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6. The Cafe is providing coffee, tea and scones. Two T-shirts will be awarded as door prizes. Following a short reading from the novel, Guinn will be signing books purchased at the event or brought in.
A team roping benefit and auction to help pay the funeral and medical expenses for Angela Antrobus of Kansas, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Siloam Springs Rodeo Arena. Antrobus died unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism on Feb. 22. She was the loving mother of two sons, one of which died on Jan. 26. Any and all donations are appreciated to help ease the financial burden, especially for her surviving son. For more information, call 479-238-6843.
Ordinary Saints Exhibit
The art exhibit “Ordinary Saints” will be on display in John Brown University’s Windgate Visual Arts West Gallery through May 2. The exhibit features the work of artist Bruce Herman. Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The gallery will be closed April 14-16 for the Easter holiday.
Manna Center Dollar Days
The Manna Center will be holding a dollar days sale from April 3 through 8 to make room for summer merchandise. All clothing, except men’s jeans, will be on sale for $1.
50th reunion

Siloam Springs Writers to Meet
The Siloam Springs Writers Guild will be “Reading their Writings” at their meeting at 6 p.m. April 10 at First Baptist Church, 2000 Dawn Hill Road. Please use the west entrance. Writers are to bring stories or poems they have written to share. April assignments are: Prose — Adult Short Story and Poetry — Easter Treasures. Refreshments will be served.
Roast-and-toast for Cheek
A retirement roast-andtoast dinner celebration for longtime Siloam Springs High School volleyball coach Rose Cheek will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the high school cafeteria, located at 700 W. A volleyball alumni game will take place before the dinner at 5 p.m. in the Panther Activity Center at the high school. RSVP to the same number and email above to reserve a spot to play in the game.
Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show
The Northwest Arkansas Gem and Mineral Society is hosting the 2017 Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 8, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9 at the Community Building. The fun and educational event will include door prizes, a silent auction, special exhibits and demonstrations, lapidary, fossils, minerals and rocks of all kinds. The suggested donation for entry is $3 for adults. Children 10 and under are free with an adult.
High School Theater Production
The high school theater department will be presenting a western themed comedy, Buckshot & Blossoms, at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 8, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for ages 5 and under.
Garden Workday
The Garden in Siloam Springs will hold a workday at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8. The garden is located behind Grace Episcopal Church. More information is available on The Garden in Siloam Springs’ Facebook page.
Girls Night Out
Downtown businesses will be open late from 5 to 8 p.m. for shopping and socializing for Girls Night Out on March 30. The event, hosted by Main Street Siloam Springs, will include a social hour, prizes and more. Fiber Artist Workshop
Gene Shepherd of Anaheim, Calif., will be teaching a beginner’s rughooking workshop on April 17 and 18 at Community Christian Fellowship in Siloam Springs. Art Ability
Ability Tree will host an interactive art program for children with or without special needs. The art program will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 4. An art show will be held on April 19. The program will be held at 205 S. Broadway Street next to Siloam Flowers.

Fundraiser breakfast/ band
The Siloam Springs Senior Activity and Wellness Center will host a weekly fundraiser breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. every Friday at the center, located at 750 Heritage Court. The fundraiser is open to all ages. The center will also host the OK Country Band at 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. The performance is free and open to anyone.
Manna Center Thrift Store
The Manna Center Thrift Store is now accepting credit and debit cards for purchases of $10 or more to make it easier for customers to shop. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Manna Center is located at 670 Heritage Court.
