Verna Helmick

Verna Helmick, 94, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., died April 14, 2017, at Bradford House Nursing and Rehab in Bentonvill­e.

She was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Spring Coulee, Alberta, Canada, to Paul Boettcher and Lillian

Nelson Boettcher. She married Fred Helmick and she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a granddaugh­ter, Jeri; a great-granddaugh­ter; four sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Mendham of Fredrickto­wn, Mo.; two grandsons; three great-grandchild­ren; two great-great-grandchild­ren; and two sisters, Beverly Caldwell and Dale NcNelly.

Graveside services were April 17, 2017, at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry, Ark.

George Wayne Robinson

George Wayne Robinson, 73, of Gentry, Ark., died April

7, 2017, in Siloam Springs, Ark.

He was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Siloam Springs to Fred Robinson and Mary Corn Robinson.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the 1960s. He married Norma Keys in Miami, Okla., in June of 1981. He worked as an installer for the phone company in Siloam Springs. He was a lifelong resident of the Gentry and Siloam Springs area. He loved his family and enjoyed time spent with them.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brazen Richards.

He is survived by his wife; nine children, Jeff Robinson, Tim Robinson, Delane Keene, Comella Harp, Nathan Robinson, Tonya Poindexter, Tori Vaughan, Shantrece Richards and Misha Huffaker; and several grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services were held April 13, 2017, at Mission Mountain Cemetery in Westville, Okla., with Lance Bellar officiatin­g.

Roberts & Hart Funeral Home of Westville, Okla., was in charge of arrangemen­ts.

Bill Watt

Bill Watt, 71, of Oaks, Okla., died April 15, 2017, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

He was born Sept. 14, 1945, in Bristow, Okla., to William Perry Watt and Jewel Mildred Alcorn Watt. He worked as a supervisor of Simmons Pet Food until retirement, then worked for Walmart. He enjoyed many things, including rodeos, fishing, cutting wood, being at the Foreman Arena and most of all being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by a daughter, Ducie Christie and husband Mitchell of Oaks; a son, J.R. Watt of Oaks; three grandchild­ren; four great-grandchild­ren; and two sisters, Linda Friend and husband Robert of Sapulpa, Okla., and Theresa Sullivan of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Oaks. Burial will follow at Oaks Cemetery.
