GREENWOOD — The Lady Panthers rebounded nicely Tuesday after suffering their first loss in more than a month the night before.

Siloam Springs scored all six of its goals in the first half and the second half was cut down to 20 minutes of play via the Arkansas Activities Associatio­n sportsmans­hip rule in a shutout victory against Greenwood at Smith-Robinson Stadium.

It was the ninth shutout victory of the season for Siloam Springs, which saw its 10-match winning streak snapped on Monday, April 17, with a 4-3 loss at Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington.

Juniors Audrey Maxwell and Brooklyn Buckminste­r each scored two goals, while Buckminste­r also recorded two assists. Megan Hutto and Jocelyn Andrade also scored goals for Siloam Springs, while Sydney Bomstad and Meghan Kennedy each added assists.

Maxwell’s two goals added to her single-season school record, which stood at 30 after the game, while Hutto recorded her 13th goal, which ranks second on the team. Buckminste­r now has seven goals and four assists, while Andrade scored her first goal.

Bomstad got her sixth assist and Kennedy’s assist was her second on the year.
