Walls Talk: His­toric Home Tour

The Siloam Springs Mu­seum will be hold­ing the Walls Talk: His­toric Home Tour from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., June 22 at the home of Glo­ria McEn­roe, lo­cated at 114 South Col­lege Street. The home, which is listed on the National His­toric Reg­is­ter as the Maxwell-Sweet House, has in­trigu­ing sto­ries to re­veal. The evening in­cludes guided tours of the home, un­veil­ing of the mu­seum re­model plans; two drink tick­ets; hors d’oeu­vres and desserts; and pi­ano en­ter­tain­ment by Lloyd Whit­comb. Sum­mer Lunch Pro­gram

Siloam Springs School District will be host­ing a free sum­mer lunch pro­gram for all chil­dren age 18 and younger, re­gard­less of whether or not they at­tend school in Siloam Springs. Meals will be avail­able from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mon­day through Friday, be­gin­ning May 30 through Aug. 4 at Allen Ele­men­tary School and the Siloam Springs Mid­dle School. Lunch will also be served at three mo­bile lo­ca­tions, in­clud­ing at 11:15 a.m. by the gazebo at Spring Val­ley Apart­ments; 11:45 a.m. at Eliana Cha­con Me­mo­rial Park; and 12:15 p.m. by the pic­nic pav­il­ion at Bob Henry Park. Adult meals are avail­able at the Allen and Mid­dle Schools only for $3.50. New this year, vol­un­teers from Pot­ters House are pro­vid­ing fun and free ac­tiv­i­ties for kids at the mo­bile lo­ca­tions.

Re­tail Ther­apy Thurs­days

Many down­town Siloam Springs stores will be open late un­til 7 p.m. ev­ery Thurs­day, now through July 6 for Re­tail Ther­apy Thurs­days, hosted by Main Street Siloam Springs. The event will give cus­tomers a chance to shop, dine and un­wind in his­toric down­town Siloam Springs.

SSHS 1964-1979 Re­union

Siloam Springs High School classes of 1964 through 1979 will be hold­ing a re­union on Sept. 16 at Camp Siloam (For­merly the Bap­tist Assem­bly). Reg­is­tra­tion will be held from 3:30 to 4 p.m., fol­lowed by the re­union from 4 to 6 p.m. A meal will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and the evening will con­tinue with en­ter­tain­ment by old high school bands from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Tours will also be held through­out the day, in­clud­ing a tour of the Siloam Springs Mu­seum from 10 a.m. to noon; a down­town walk­ing tour at 11 a.m.; a tour of the new high school at 1 p.m.; and a tour of the old high school on Jef­fer­son Street at 2 p.m. The rec­om­mended do­na­tion for reg­is­tra­tion is $15 per per­son and $25 per cou­ple in ad­vance, or $20 per per­son and $35 per cou­ple at the door. Fish­ing Derby

The Siloam Springs Parks and Re­cre­ation depart­ment will host the kids’ fish­ing derby on Saturday, June 3. The derby will take place along Sager Creek be­hind the Parks and Re­cre­ation build­ing at 120 South Mt. Olive Street from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The derby is free and lim­ited to ages 3-12 for par­tic­i­pants. Prizes will be awarded in sev­eral cat­e­gories.

Movies in the park

A movie night will be hosted in Bob Henry Park near the play­ground on Friday, June 9. The event, held by the Siloam Springs Parks and Re­cre­ation Depart­ment, will fea­ture the movie “Moana.” The movie will be shown at 9 p.m., when it gets dark. Those at­tend­ing are en­cour­aged to bring lawn chairs or blan­kets.
