Charlotte Sue Evans Atkins

Charlotte Sue Evans Atkins, 75, of Gentry, Ark., died July 19, 2017 at her home.

She was born July 30, 1942 in Garfield, Ark., to Woodrow Evans and Martha Schooley Evans. She was married to Jack Atkins for 58 years. She was a film processor for Bentonvill­e photo lab and she was a farmer of dairy and livestock.

She was preceded in death by a son, Josh Atkins.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Rick Atkins and wife Tammy Atkins of Colcord, Okla., and Kyle Atkins and wife Angelena Atkins of Gentry, Ark.; a daughter, Rhonda Atkins of Gentry, Arkansas; and two grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow in Gentry Cemetery.

Charles ‘Clifford’ Baker

Charles “Clifford” Baker, 83, of Kansas, Okla., died July 17, 2017, at Veterans Administra­tive Medical Center in Muskogee, Okla.

He was born June 4, 1934, in Flint, Okla., to Charlie Franklin Baker and Ellar Williams Baker. He married Alta Garner on Nov. 1, 1958, near Kansas, Okla. He graduated from Kansas High School in Kansas, Okla. He was employed by Oklahoma Upholstery and Supply in Tulsa for over 10 years. He owned and operated Baker’s Laundromat and Baker’s Feed store. He was a volunteer fireman for Kansas Fire Department for over 20 years and also a foreman for Delaware County. He was a member of Lowery Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting both deer and quail.

He was preceded in death by one son, Kurt Baker in 1978.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Karl Baker of Lowell, Ark.; and two aunts, Dolly Wofford of Tahlequah, Okla., and Juanita Williams of California.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Lowery Freewill Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, Okla. Burial will be at Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, Okla.

Dwight D. Philpott

Dwight D. Philpott, 66, of Gentry, Ark., died July 18, 2017, in his home.

He was born April 20, 1951, in Bentonvill­e, Ark., to William “Ben” Philpott and Goldie Fay Rutherford Philpott. He married Emma Jo and she preceded him in death. He and Danna Ford were married for more than 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, four sisters and seven brothers.

He is survived by his wife Danna, of the home; a daughter, Maisie Varnell and husband Rob of Pine Bluff, Ark.; six grandchild­ren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Wilma Hayes and husband Carl of Sulphur Springs, Ark., and Carol Miller of Southwest City, Mo.; three brothers, Lannie Philpott and wife Linda of Tulsa, Okla., Lonnie Philpott and wife Barbara of Kansas, Okla., and Dwayne Philpott and wife Ann of Pine Bluff; and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Philpott of Gentry and Maggie Philpott of Sulphur Springs.

Memorial services were July 21, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark.
