Country Club makes course improvements

- From Staff Reports

Siloam Springs Country Club announced a new addition to its course this past week.

The club has added tee boxes to each hole to incorporate a nine-hole par 27 course within its standard nine-hole par 35 course.

This is an addition that some of the club’s players had requested.

“Not only does it give a fresh look to the holes played, it can be played by our younger golfers to make the pace of play faster and more fun for the beginner and younger players,” said Siloam Springs Country Club board president Bill Adams. “So far reception has been good.”

The club is holding par 3 shoot-outs on Tuesday evening beginning at 6 p.m. Everybody is welcome.

“We invite all golfers to come out and give it a try,” Adams said. “We are always trying to match the needs and wants of the community with our facility. Watch for other additions coming soon.”
