Gentry hosting “Go Healthy” event

GENTRY — “Go Healthy” is a program that helps a person take charge of his or her health and enjoy the better lifestyle that the Community Family Health Fair is offering. Free tests such as glucose, blood pressure, fitness, body-fat analysis, health age, dental, vision, medical, nutrition (with food samples), oxygen flow-meter and more will be available. Haircuts are offered. too.

Doctors, dentists, optometris­ts and nurses will be on hand for testing and assessment­s. All are invited to take advantage of this program and receive free consultati­ons to learn about the simple lifestyle changes which will make one a healthier person. The program is set up for whole families to attend as a Sunday afternoon outing, with a separate program set up for children to assess their health status in a fun way, including a jungle gym and obstacle course.

A special feature will be the presence of a rescue helicopter and its crew. Demonstrat­ions and hands-on activities will be available. Yearly family medical insurance for emergency helicopter transporta­tion is available at a discount for any attendees to the health fair.

Gentry Family Health Fair is scheduled on Sunday, Aug. 20, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Gentry Seventh-day Adventist Church, 21090 Dawn Hill East, Gentry. Don’t miss out on this great opportunit­y to take charge of your health and “Go Healthy” for free.
