Claud M. ‘Bob’ Coe

Claude M. “Bob” Coe, 96, of the Siloam Springs, Ark., area, died Aug. 29, 2017, at Ozark Terrace Nursing home in Rogers, Ark.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1921, in Tulsa, Okla., to Emmett Claude and Bess Coe. He was known as the “King of Gypsies” having devoted his time as Camp Director for Gypsy Camp for Girls located on the Illinois River south of Siloam Springs from 1955 to 1978. His legacy lives on in the historical buildings and campground of Gypsy Camp which was placed on the National Historical Register of Historic Places in 1988 by Gov. Bill Clinton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Coe; and a sister, Joan Coe.

He is survived by his daughter, Claudia Baron and husband Roger of Siloam Springs; three grandchild­ren; one greatgrand­son; and one greatstep-granddaugh­ter.

Memorial Services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, with Pastor Wayne Thomas officiatin­g.

Dwain Ezell

Dwain Ezell, 74, longtime resident of the Siloam Springs, Ark., area, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017, at the Saint Simeon’s Senior Community in Tulsa, Okla.

Dwain was born on January 28, 1943, in Prairie Grove, Ark., a son of Clarence “Wesley” Ezell and Bernice Irene Oxford Ezell. He was a farmer in the Wedington Community for many years, enjoyed horseback riding, playing the dobro, guitar, and violin and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Ezell and wife Mary of Bixby, Okla.; niece, Stacy Sears and husband Eric of Bixby, Okla.; nephew, Mark Ezell and wife Dana of Bixby, Okla.; two great-nieces and two great-nephews ; along with many cousins, other family members and friends.

Visitation was held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services were held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 2 p. m. Pastor Phil Misenheime­r officiated the service.
