SSHS volleyball falls at Harrison

HARRISON — The Siloam Springs volleyball team dropped its first 5A/6A District 1 match of the season Thursday with a 3-1 loss to Harrison at Goblin Arena.

Harrison took a 2-0 lead with 25-18 and 25-16 wins in games one and two, respective­ly. The Lady Panthers came back and won game three 25-14, but Harrison finished off the match with a 25-18 win in game four.

“We didn’t pass the ball well enough to win,” said head coach Joellen Wright. “Offensivel­y, Harrison was very balanced and crafty with their ball placement.”

The loss drops the Lady Panthers’ record to 1-9 overall and 0-1 in 5A/6A District 1 play.

Ellie Lampton led the Lady Panthers with 15 kills to go with eight digs, one block and one ace. Kenlie Noel had four kills, two digs and one block, while Chloe Price had three kills, 15 digs, two blocks and 28 assists.

Reigan Brown also had three kills with two aces and two digs, while Allie Bowman had two kills, two aces and 12 digs. Katie Kendrick had a kill and eight digs, and Madison Lanker had one kill.

Madison Hall had 11 digs, while Kirsten Loftis and Maddy Lasater each had four digs and Annabelle Van Asche three digs.

The Lady Panthers’ junior varsity team picked up a 2-1 win, falling 25-10 in game one but winning the next two 25-18, 15-5.

The Lady Panthers return to 5A/6A District action on Tuesday at home against Clarksvill­e. A junior varsity match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity match around 6 p.m.
