Bentonville teams sweep Siloam Springs junior high volleyball
CENTERTON — Siloam Springs’ ninth-grade volleyball team put up a strong fight at Bentonville West on Monday night, but the Lady Panthers came up short as the Lady Wolverines picked up a 2-1 (25-21, 12-25, 19-17) victory inside Wolverine Arena.
Camryn Kendrick led the Lady Panthers with four kills, one ace and one block.
Makenna Thomas had three kills and two aces, while Micah Curry had two kills, three aces and one block. Marlow Evans finished with one kill and two blocks, while Faith Howie had three aces.
Eighth grade
The eighth-grade Lady Panthers were defeated by Bentonville Lincoln 2-0 on Monday. Lincoln won the first game 25-9 and then finished off Siloam Springs with a 25-18 win in game two.
Seventh grade
The seventh-graders were defeated 2-0 at Shiloh Christian on Monday afternoon. Shiloh Christian won the first set 25-15 and then finished off the sweep with a 25-17 victory in game two.
Up next
Both the eighth- and ninth-grade teams were back in action against Rogers Elmwood and Rogers High, respectively, on Tuesday night. Results were not available at presstime.
Both teams return to action on Monday as the eighth-graders play Fayetteville Woodland at 4:30 p.m., followed by the ninth-grade against Fayetteville White around 6:30 p.m.
The seventh-graders are scheduled to compete in a jamboree in Siloam Springs on Saturday. Results were not available at presstime. Siloam Springs is scheduled to play at Springdale Hellstern on Monday.
