- By Dolores Deuel Siloam Springs Public Library — Dolores Deuel is the library manager at Siloam Springs Public Library. The opinions expressed are those of the author.

We have had some cooler weather last week which puts us in the mood for fall and decorating pumpkins.

Ms. Valerie will provide families with the opportunity to decorate pumpkins Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon. Decoupage is the method that will be used to decorate these pumpkins. Decoupage is a process which allows the decorator to glue colored paper cutouts onto an object in combination with special paint effects and other decorative elements. This activity will be limited to the first 50 people who want to decorate a pumpkin. Come and join us as you create a fun pumpkin to show off in your home.

We now have a blog! This blog can be accessed at www.siloamspring.com/library or https://siloamspringslibrary.wordpress.com/. Check this out. It will be a biweekly blog and focus on all things library including getting to know your library staff better.

T.R.O.L.L.S. (Teens Reading Obviously Likeable Lit. on Saturday) is the new young adult book club. The October book is “Interstellar Pig” by William Sleator. This is a quick-read fantasy book based upon a strange role-playing game called Interstellar Pig. Or is it a game? Read the book and join Ms. Leah for a lively conversation on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. Books are available at the library while supplies last.

Books are available at the library while supplies last. Please feel free to attend this book club even if you have not read the book. Who knows?! You may want to continue to be a part of this discussion group. The Morning Book Club will discuss “Me Before You” by Jojo Moyes Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. Louisa Clark is a hard-working young woman, and Will Traynor is an upper-class person who happens to live in the same town. Join these two people on an emotional journey as Louisa becomes Will’s caretaker and see what you can learn from other participants in the book club.

A PAC tutorial will be held Thursday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. Come and learn how to access your account on-line, manage your account, set up and maintain a reading history, save searches for notifications and more.
