Junior high volleyball teams sweep Lakeside

Siloam Springs’ ninth-grade volleyball team picked up a 2-1 victory on Tuesday against Springdale Lakeside inside the Panther Den.

Siloam Springs lost the first set 25-22, but the Lady Panthers rebounded to win set two 25-19 and finished off the victory with a 17-15 win in the third set. Faith Howie served four aces for the Lady Panthers, while Jaedyn Soucie had three kills and Marlow Evans contribute­d two blocks. Eighth-grade

The Siloam Springs eighthgrad­e volleyball team picked up a 2-0 victory Tuesday against Lakeside.

The Lady Panthers won the first game 25-10 and then gutted out a 27-25 victory in the second set.

Seventh-grade

The seventh-grade volleyball team was defeated 2-1 by Farmington on Wednesday. Siloam Springs won the first set 25-21, but Farmington won the second and third sets 25-16 and 15-7, respective­ly.

The seventh-graders lost 2-0 to Springdale Sonora on Tuesday.

Up next

The eighth- and ninth-graders return to action in Rogers on Monday. The eighth-graders will play Rogers Oakdale around 4:30 p.m., followed by the ninth-grade against Rogers Heritage at 5:30 p.m. Both teams return home on Tuesday to face Bentonvill­e Washington and Bentonvill­e High. The seventh-graders close out their season at The New School on Wednesday.
