DeEtta Pearl Brumett

DeEtta Pearl Brumett, 85-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died October 28, 2017, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Born April 14, 1932, in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of George Tourtillot­t and Dollie Tourtillot­t. DeEtta lived all her life in northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, she married Jack Brumett. She was retired from Franklin Electric and was a member of Sager Creek Community Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Broderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nephews, Robert Stacks of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Ronnie Stacks of Watts, Oklahoma; nieces, Debbie Phipps of Westville, Oklahoma, Teresa Bruner of Houston, Texas, and Pam Berlin of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery, Kansas, Oklahoma. Perry D. Sanders

Perry D. Sanders, 80, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Oct. 28, 2017, at his home.

He was born July 20, 1937, in Visalia, Calif., to Elbert Amos Sanders andEva Oleta McKinney Sanders. He served the country in the Air Force during Korea and Vietnam and then retired in 1974. He then went on and taught school in junior high, high school and community college. He was a member of the American Legion Home, Shriner and the Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Keller, Texas. He married Georgia Mayes Hatch in 2009. He was 32nd degree, 50 year, Mason and was a member of the Home Sweet Home Lodge, Arlington, Texas. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary; a son, Bruce; and two sisters, Lottie Mae Fairbanks and Mildred Cox. Survivors include his wife Georgia of the home; a son, Greg Sanders of Cambodia; and a grandson. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Bobby Bruce Shaffer Jr.

Bobby Bruce Shaffer Jr., 45, of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Oct. 21, 2017, in West Siloam Springs.

He was born Dec. 3, 1972, in Jay, Okla., to Bobby Shaffer Sr. and Twyla Kauffeld Dozier. He worked as an electrical engineer for Simmons Foods Inc. and served in the National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparen­ts.

He is survived by a son, Morgan Shaffer of Flint Ridge, Okla.; a daughter, Nicole Shaffer of Kansas, Okla.; his mother and stepfather, Twyla and Steve Dozier of West Siloam Springs; a sister, Lanetta Shaffer of Chance, Okla., and a brother, Tristen Kauffeld of Fort Riley, Kan.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark.
