Junior high boys eighth at conference meet
■ The junior high girls took sixth place overall.
ROGERS — The Siloam Springs boys junior high cross country team finished eighth on Tuesday at the Rogers Mountaineer Classic held at Rogers High School.
The meet doubled as the Northwest Arkansas Conference meet, and Bentonville finished first with 44 points.
Springdale Central was second at 70, followed by Rogers 92, Fayetteville White 99, Fayetteville Purple 104, Bentonville West 127, Springdale Southwest 182, Siloam Springs 298, Springdale Lakeside 312, Springdale George 313, Rogers Heritage 314, Decatur 316, Fort Smith Ramsey 380, Fort Smith Trinity 392 and Green Forest 392.
Connor Clayton was the Panthers’ top runner with a time of 11 minutes, 44.0 seconds, finishing in 53rd place.
Yani Trinidad was 72nd at 12:00.9, followed by Levi Fox in 82nd at 12:12.7 and Javier Chavez in 99th at 12:24.6.
Wilson Cunningham finished in 12:25.2, while Dane Kelly ran a time of 12:27.6, Andy Almanza 12:41.0, Dylan Garcia 12:43.8 and Jason Flores 12:51.2.
Also running for Siloam Springs was Tate Broquard 12:53.6, Luke Fields 13:06.0, Cooper Shaw 13:11.4 and Seth Funk 13:19.8.
Siloam Springs’ junior high girls placed sixth overall in the girls meet.
Fayetteville Purple was first with 41 points, followed by Bentonville 50, Rogers 76, Springdale Central 117, Fayetteville White 149 and Siloam Springs 163. Fort Smith Trinity was seventh at 191, followed by Haas Hall Bentonville 255, Springdale Southwest 277, Rogers Heritage 293, Fort Smith Ramsey 314, Greenland 334, Springdale Lakeside 356 and Springdale George 413.
Emily Brown led the Lady Panthers with an 11th place finish of 12:53.5, while Grace Price was 25th at 13:15.1, Lilly Cole 63rd at 14:01.3, Hannah Glass 14:06.9, and Jacilyn Weilnah 69th at 14:11.2.
Laurel Granderson finished 73rd at 14:16.2, while Shayla Conley was 76th at 14:17.1, Hattie Price 83rd at 14:26.8, Abby Thompson 88th at 14:37.1 and Jordan Rush 92nd at 14:49.0.
Also running for Siloam Springs was Bethany Mejia 14:53.9, Kendra Reimer 15:10.5, Crystal Mercado 15:18.3, Deanna Floyd 16:14.5 and Sidney Pfeiffer 17:31.4.
