Rowland joins Northwest Cardiology as nurse practioner
Siloam Springs Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome Kristine Rowland, AGACNPBC, to Northwest Cardiology. Rowland works fulltime as a cardiac nurse practitioner in Siloam Springs to provide continuity of care in the cardiology clinic.
Originally from Bentonville, Rowland received her masters of science degree in nursing at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock for adult gerontology acute care. Her focus was on health and wellness across the adult lifespan which included health promotion, management of acute and chronic diseases and promoting maximal health.
It was exposure to heart care during her clinical education that inspired her to seek a focused career in cardiology.
“I had such a great experience during my cardiac rotation that it just really made a strong impression on me,” Rowland said. “My board certification in adult gerontology pairs well with the specialization of cardiac care, and since cardiology was my favorite practicum, I was so happy to have this opportunity.”
Rowland and her husband, David, have two daughters, and in her free time they enjoy movies and cooking together. She loves to read for pleasure when she’s not engrossed in medical research relating to patient care.
Rowland will maintain office hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays offering consistent access to quick and convenient heart care for local residents.
“I am very excited to work with Dr. Dhanjal, Dr. Sanford and Dr. Pruitt in the Siloam Springs clinic,” Rowland said. “They are such an experienced team, and the collaborative effort is a beneficial component for me as well.”
